Custom paper bags do a bit of marketing on their own; every customer walking out with one is basically carrying the brand down the street. Built for retail, restaurants, and takeout brands across the USA.
Ever watched a customer’s bag handle snap the second they picked it up off the counter? That moment undoes a sale faster than almost anything else; it doesn’t matter how nice the product inside is if the packaging fails before they even leave the store. HPP builds every eco-friendly packaging bag around the weight it actually needs to carry, reinforcing the handle attachment points so they hold under real load, not just an empty display sample.
A retail chain came to Hale Path Packaging after a batch of takeout bags started splitting at the bottom seam under the weight of a full order, with a few customers reporting spills before they even got to their car. The bag had looked fine in the sample room, tested with a single light item rather than a full, packed order. We rebuilt the base seam and switched to a heavier stock rated for the actual average order weight, testing it against filled bags rather than empty display samples. Complaints stopped almost entirely the following month, and the chain didn’t need to touch the packaging again.

HPP has spent over 12 years producing paper packaging for brands across the USA, so we know a bag has to survive the walk to the car, not just look good on a shelf. Our team tests handle strength and seam durability against real product weight before a design goes into production, not just a single demo carry. We work with retailers, restaurants, and takeout brands that need packaging that holds up under everyday use. This same standard runs through HPP’s rigid gift boxes and flexible packaging bags, too, which is why brands that start with one product line usually come back for the next.

What actually separates Custom Paper Bags that survive the trip home from one that splits halfway there? It almost always comes down to whether the handle and base seam were tested against real product weight, not a light sample. A bag can look identical to a competitor’s on a shelf and still perform completely differently once it’s carrying a full order out the door. That’s the detail HPP checks before any full run goes ahead, because a bag that fails in a customer’s hand does more damage to a brand than a slightly higher paper cost ever would.
